Served as Student President of Young Investors Society, a global 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing financial literacy education to high school students. Led Student Advisory Board representing 2,390 schools across 80 countries with 12,743 students and 977 teachers. Coordinated regional vice presidents across West Coast, East Coast, Midwest, Asia, and International regions.

Worked alongside board of directors including CFAs and investment professionals from Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Ethos Investment Management, and CAIA Association. Contributed to programs including Global Youth Investment Summit (150+ students, 85+ finance professionals), Dollar-A-Day Challenge (743 participants, 200 scholarships awarded), and Access Initiative serving 21% of YIS students. Featured in New York Times and Wall Street Journal coverage. Received Student Leader of the Year Award at Invest in the Future Gala.

Leadership Responsibilities

As Student President, coordinated Student Advisory Board consisting of elected officers and members-at-large representing students across all regions:

Executive Leadership

Managed executive team including regional vice presidents (West Coast, East Coast, Midwest, Asia, International), Secretary, and Director of Communications. Collaborated with YIS Founder James Fletcher and COO Christine Tobin.

Global Student Network

Coordinated 60+ members-at-large across U.S., Canada, UK, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and India. Facilitated communication between local chapters and national organization.

Program Coordination

Contributed to flagship programs including Global Youth Investment Summit, Dollar-A-Day Challenge, Finance Knowledge Bowl, Stock Pitch Competition, and Fireside Chats with industry professionals.

Board Collaboration

Worked with board of directors featuring investment professionals from major firms including Fidelity Investments, Goldman Sachs, Ethos Investment Management, GQG Partners, Nuveen Investment Trust, and CAIA Association.

Global Youth Investment Summit

Flagship 2-day event at Cornell Tech University serving 150+ students from 21 states and 9 countries. Featured Bloomberg Connecting Futures networking event, finance workshops, industry speakers from Microsoft and Goldman Sachs, AI case study competition, and Global Stock Pitch Competition with 98 teams and 85 finance professional judges.

Dollar-A-Day Challenge

Expanded program serving 743 participants with 200 scholarship recipients receiving matched investments. Students complete personal finance quiz, track daily dollar investments, and learn compound growth firsthand.

Finance Knowledge Bowl

First-ever virtual competition testing personal finance and investment knowledge. 227 students participated with top 15 finalists competing in Analyst For A Day style competition analyzing leading AI companies.

Fireside Chats

Quarterly speaker series featuring industry professionals sharing career stories and advice. Featured speakers from Capital Group, Goldman Sachs, Jennison Associates, and Bradesco with interactive Q&A sessions.

Access Initiative

YIS Access Initiative provides FREE financial education to underserved students, growing 29% this year to serve 2,257 students across 284 schools in 35 states—representing 21% of total YIS students. The program partners with afterschool programs, school clubs, and individual students who lack access to quality financial literacy education.

Multi-year sponsorships from Bloomberg Philanthropies and Grandeur Peak support expansion of the Access Initiative, working toward a future where every high school student has access to free, quality online financial education regardless of socioeconomic background.
